King of Prussia is the third largest employment center in the Philadelphia region, and providing convenient and reliable transportation is important to continue to attract and retain talented employees to the area.
The Norristown High Speed Line (NHSL) boasts a 99% on-time rate compared to 65% for the six bus routes currently serving King of Prussia. While the bus routes serving King of Prussia carry on average 5,600 riders per day, service is unreliable due to regular congestion on regional arterials and freeways. During peak times, KOP Rail trains will run as frequently as every 10 minutes.
KOP Rail will also save time for commuters. Traveling from Center City Philadelphia to the KOP Business Park, a commuter will save on average 30 minutes in travel time.
Driving from the King of Prussia Mall to Center City regularly takes almost 70 minutes, while the same trip on KOP Rail will take less than 40 minutes on an express train.
KOP Rail stations will be fully compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), providing step-free access to trains making access possible for passengers in wheelchairs and creating a more convenient experience for passengers using walkers, pushing strollers, pulling luggage, walking their bikes, or who have difficulty climbing stairs.
