By providing a congestion-free transit connection to Philadelphia, Norristown, and other destinations in Montgomery and Delaware Counties, SEPTA’s King of Prussia Rail Project (KOP Rail) will help unlock the economic potential of King of Prussia and, in turn, drive growth and opportunity for the region as a whole. KOP Rail will bring the following benefits to the King of Prussia Business Community.

KOP Rail Increases Access to Greater Philadelphia Area Employees

KOP Rail will provide an additional transportation option to attract and connect a broader pool of quality employees across the Greater Philadelphia Area to King of Prussia employers.

KOP Rail will reduce the weekday commute between King of Prussia and Center City from 75 minutes to 45 minutes, significantly less than a typical trip on heavily congested I-76.

KOP Rail will have a 95 percent on-time performance average, bringing more frequent, reliable transportation to/from jobs in King of Prussia, including in Moore Park KOP and the King of Prussia Mall.

KOP Rail Delivers Strong Return on Investment

Every $1 invested in public transportation generates approximately $4 in economic returns.

Every $10 million in capital investment in public transportation yields $30 million in increased business sales.

Every $1 billion invested in public transportation supports and creates more than 50,000 jobs.

KOP Rail Promotes and Strengthens Regional Growth

KOP Rail is anticipated to stimulate 5.3 million square feet of new development, 8,000 permanent new jobs, and $636 million in additional annual earnings across southeastern Pennsylvania.
